Create and publish a signup sheet

Start from a template, build time shifts and item slots, or use Magic Quick-Fill.

Start with event details

Sign in to an organizer account and choose Create a Sign-Up Sheet. You can also browse Sign-Up Sheet Templates and start from a template. Enter the event name, location, and instructions for participants.

If you belong to an organization, choose whether to publish under your personal account or that organization, and select a department where appropriate. The selected account or organization's sheet allowance and theme access apply.

Build your slots

Add time-based shifts for volunteer commitments and item-based slots for supplies. Set a title and the number of volunteers or items needed. For timed shifts, set a date and start time; the end time is optional. You can mix both types on one sheet and duplicate or remove draft slots.

Magic Quick-Fill turns a description of your schedule into editable slots. Include dates, times, breaks, roles, and capacities. Dates without a year mean the next upcoming one. If your description has no date for a shift, Quick-Fill sets it to your sign-up close date and highlights it so you can check it. Review every generated slot and any organizer-facing reply before publishing. Generated participant descriptions only fill an empty description field. Avoid putting sensitive or participant information in the prompt.

Review and publish

Choose when sign-ups close on the first step, along with the event name; templates start it on their last shift date. Check the schedule, quantities, description, and selected theme in Review & Publish. Names are hidden by default. Waitlists are enabled by default; you can turn them off. Publish the sheet, then use its sharing tools to invite participants. Publishing does not send invitations for you.

A sheet counts toward the active-sheet allowance until its event end date passes. The signup deadline closes public registration; it does not set the scheduled start time of every slot.
